We are delighted to introduce our expert author, Assistant Professor Milad Khatib, who will contribute to Sustainability Green Industry 4 (SGI4) on sgi4.com.

Milad Khatib is a highly experienced administrative and technical engineer with a rich background in civil engineering, and strategic and security analysis. He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, a Master's degree in civil engineering, and a PhD. in structural and geotechnical engineering, from Beirut Arab University, Lebanon. In addition, he holds a special diploma in strategic and security analysis from the American University of Science and Technology, Lebanon.

Throughout his career, Khatib has held multiple roles with significant responsibilities in high-risk environments. His key achievements include planning and organizing the "Changing Course of a River" project, assessing damage from natural disasters such as earthquakes and sea storms, and contributing to the development of administrative work.

In the academic field, Khatib has served as a research supervisor for Civil Engineering Thesis at CNAM, Beirut, the University of Balamand, and the Lebanese International University.

Khatib's publications include detailed engineering studies on establishing commercial ports, the effect of shear connectors on the behavior of composite beams, and the enhancement of shear strength of prestressed concrete using inverted U-shaped reinforcement, in addition to several topics related to reduce the pollution of several rivers and lakes (in Lebanon and India).

With his extensive experience and expertise, we are confident that Milad Khatib will provide valuable insights and contributions to our platform. We look forward to his contributions to advancing the discourse on sustainability and green industry practices.

Recently, he registered a patent that offered an economic solution for floating waste materials within rivers, lakes, and coastal areas by collecting it using his special economic vessel.
